We’d like to thank everyone who attended LAVA, and to everyone who picked up book or two. Thank you for your support, and we hope you enjoy the books!

If you were unable to attend and would like to purchase a copy of any of our publications, please email us at batcatpress@gmail.com and we will get right back to you. We are in the process of setting up an online ordering system, but there are a few issues we have to address before launching. But yes – you can order a copy now!

Finally, a reminder – our 2010 Summer Reading Period begins on June 1st. We’ve already received a number of excellent queries and early submissions, but are looking forward to seeing even more throughout the month of June. Any genre, any form, any length – send it all our way!

Lincoln Park’s premiere literary and visual arts festival, LAVA, will be happening on May 26 and 27, 2010. Events include an art show, video festival, senior reading, the release of 2010′s edition of pulp, student awards, and a reading by our keynote speaker, Neil McCormick, author of Killing Bono. See LAVA’s Facebook event for all of the details: click here.

BatCat Press will be there too, of course! We’ll be helping kick-off LAVA on Tuesday, May 25 with an in-school reading. Our official public book release and signing will begin at 5:30om on Thursday, May 27. We will have copies of The One That Counts, This Boy, This Broom, and Ars Poetica available for purchase. P. Edward Cunningham and Rosemary Macuga will be on hand to read selections and sign copies. We will also have an array of handmade chapbooks and journals.

We hope to see you there!
